Abstract: Abstract: A fast and efficient microwave promoted one-pot method for deoxygenation of heterocyclic halo-benzyl alcohols has been developed. The method does not cause dehalogenation of the substrates and provides the deoxygenated products in high yield after only 30min. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
