Abstract

Since the video logger was attached to the penguin's back, the video image should reflect the penguin's movement trajectory and the prey position relative to it rather than the penguin's visual field. Keywords: antipredator behavior; biologging; fish; penguin; predation; prey EN antipredator behavior biologging fish penguin predation prey 1 5 5 04/05/23 20230401 NES 230401 Predation acts as a strong selective pressure on the behaviors of both predators and prey (Peterson et al., [15]; Suraci et al., [19]). Our small sample size may also be due to the low frequency of fish predation events in Adélie penguins (fish accounted for only 9% of prey composition by mass during the study period; Watanabe et al., [22]). Penguin-mounted video camera provides new insights into predator-prey interactions with prey fish. [Extracted from the article]
