Abstract
- Dendrophthora kuijtiana (Santalaceae), a new species of mistletoe endemic to the páramos and subpáramos of the Venezuelan Andes, is described and illustrated. We discuss aspects of its ecology, and taxonomic affinities with Dendrophthora davidsei. In addition, we report a new record (D. paucifolia) and two updates (D. karuaiana y D. warmingii) to Dendrophthora in Venezuela and present a dichotomous key to identify the species of Dendrophthora reported for the Guaramacal National Park.
