Abstract
- In October 2022, medication guide PDFs for all FDA-approved biologics for dermatological conditions were extracted. To inform patients about their treatment, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has mandated pharmaceutical companies issue medication guides alongside biologics.[1] Previous studies have found that patient-facing disease-specific materials in dermatology are not written at a level readily accessible to the general public.[[2], [4]] Biologics are complex, newer medications with limited available information, so it is important that medication guides can be understood.
