Abstract

This editorial explains that this issue presents several courageous aspects of librarianship. From library directors who truly care about teenagers, to teenagers who have an insight of what courage means to them, it is hoped that this issue will strengthen the librarians' resolve to continue to fight the good fight as an advocate for teenagers. It is explained that courage is when a youth librarian steps out in front of a group of preschoolers to present a story time for the very first time. Courage is also when the youth librarian stands in front of a group of high school students for a book talk or to tell them about reference resources or programs at the library.
