Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to contribute with indications of interventions aimed at accelerating the gains in years of study, and, correspondingly, the average schooling of the population of Paraná until the year 2035. For this exercise, in addition to the reference indicator "average number of years of study", other indicators were listed, whose approach expresses quantitative and qualitative aspects of elementary education and also sheds light on essential attributes for the reaching of the prospected forward scenario. The improvement of the educational framework of the population requires mechanisms that could ensure the permanence of students within the basic education system, in addition to attracting those evaded to complete the stages, and, consequently, encouraging their continuity in higher education.
