Abstract

Oilfield water-flooding has been treated by electro coagulation technique using aluminum electrode. The results show that the electrocoagulation has a good removal effect on removing oil in oilfield water-flooding. The influences of the factors on the removal efficiency were investigated, such as electrode material, electrolysis time, current density, pH and electrode plate spacing. The experimental results showed that when using aluminum electrode plate, electrolytic time was 8 min, electrode plate spacing was 20 mm, current density was 5 mA/cm², oilfield water injection can meet the enterprise standard of oilfield water-flooding. At the same time, the electro coagulation technology has high efficiency in the treatment of oilfield water-flooding, and the cost of the aluminum electrode plate is low, so it has a good application prospect in the treatment of oilfield water-flooding.
