Abstract
- The article discusses an interdisciplinary, retrospective study that uses an alternative approach to reduce hospital-acquired pressure injuries using manual tilt-in-space (TiS) wheelchair and seating out of bed (OOB) protocol. The study details the TiS and seating OOB protocol and identified barriers including wheelchair comfort, staff competency, burden of care, and patient anxiety . It recommends communication and collaboration among nurse leaders and occupational therapists.
