Abstract
- • The development of GaN-PANI-PPy modified electrode for as electrochemical sensors. • Tests confirmed for the selectivity, specificity, long term stability of GaN-PANI-PPy sensors. • The small effective electron mass and low background current supporting for the enhanced activity. • Observation of low detection and quantitation limits are confirming for the efficiency of GaN-PANI-PPy electrode. This study investigates the electrochemical sensing behavior of a gallium nitride-polyaniline-polypyrrole (GaN-PANI-PPy) hybrid composite towards mebendazole (MBZ). Followed by synthesis, the MBZ drug was detected by differential pulse voltammetry using GaN-PANI-PPy modified glassy carbon electrode as working electrode which shows linear responses towards the MBZ drug in the concentration range of 3 × 10−7 - 9 × 10−8 M with the sensitivity of 3.02 µA/µM cm−2. The detection limit (DL) and quantification limit (QL) were calculated to be 2.581 × 10−8 M µA−1 and 8.973 × 10−8 M µA−1 respectively with signal-to-noise ratios of 3. By observing the of reproducibility, long-term stability, and anti-interference ability, the prepared GaN-PANI-PPy electrode is considered to be suitable for the electrochemical sensing detection of MBZ in liquid samples such as anti-helthiminic drug milk.
