Born: May 31, 1989 Occupation: Musician One of the most successful singer-songwriters of his generation in his native Spain, Pablo Alborán also charmed global audiences with his blend of emotive vocals, profound lyrics, and intricate instrumental melodies. It went on to earn Alborán his first Grammy Award nomination, for best Latin pop album, as well as a Latin Grammy nomination for best contemporary pop album. Building on this success, Alborán released the live album En Acústico (In Acoustics) in November 2011, featuring acoustic arrangements of songs from his debut album plus several extra tracks. Prometo brought Alborán another Grammy Award nomination for best Latin pop album, as well as Latin Grammy nomination for both best traditional pop album and album of the year.
