ABORDAGEM INTERPRETATIVISTA E MÉTODO QUALITATIVO NA PESQUISA DOCUMENTAL: DESCRIÇÃO GERAL DAS ETAPAS DE COLETA E ANÁLISE DE DADOS.

From the end of the 19th century onwards, qualitative research with an interpretive nature emerged as a form of research. Therefore, this article aims to contextualize the interpretivist approach through the bias of qualitative documentary research, describing how data collection and analysis occurs. The relevance of this article lies in the general description of the steps of the process, considering that documental research within the qualitative method is widely used in several areas of knowledge, the structure presented can contribute to future works that follow the same bias, in addition to the exposition of the aspects that relate the interpretive approach with the research method in question. The results suggest that the qualitative method allows the researcher to conduct documentary research from an interpretive approach, which is concerned with understanding the essence of the world and its daily life from the perspective of its participants.
