Abstract
- The study aims to identify and analyze the association between the learning styles and the active methodologies preferred by the different profiles of students of the face-to-face undergraduate courses in Accounting. Through the application of an online questionnaire, a sample of 838 students was obtained. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and correspondence analysis. The results showed an association between learning styles, gender, generation, period of attachment in the course, region and type of higher education institution (HEI). There was also an association between active methodologies, gender, generation, region and type of HEI. These results provide evidence about the learning preferences of the different student profiles and allow teachers and HEIs to seek mechanisms to meet these preferences, in order to contribute to the improvement of the teaching-learning process.
