Abstract

The article presents the discussion on Myofascial pain being a very common disorder in the daily practice of musculoskeletal physicians. Topics include unmyelinated, nociceptive nerve fibers predominantly located within the superficial tissues usually considered to be the main histological targets for such procedures; and complex structural interactions between the deep fascia, the trapezius muscle, and the cutaneous branches of the dorsal rami (CBsDR) of spinal nerves.
