Abstract

Objective: The objective of the study is to compare the functional result of the suspensory graft versus screw technique for biotenodesis. Methodology: Patients with an anterior cruciate ligament injury who were treated at the General Hospital Ignacio Zaragoza of the ISSSTE were captured and evaluated one year after surgical treatment using the Tegner and Lysholm Score. Results: As a result, it was obtained that the suspensory mechanism with graft is the technique that shows the best results on the Lysholm scale and the biotenodesis screw on the Tegner functional scale. Limitations or implications: Considering 39 patients for the elaboration of this research, it could be considered as a limitation Originality or value: Its importance lies in the fact that both surgical techniques were performed by the same surgeons and that it is a study in the Mexican population, being a contribution to the literature of this country. Findings or conclusions: It is concluded that in order to determine which technique is better, it must be determined whether the symptoms or functional recovery will be evaluated.
