LA INTERSEXUALIDAD Y LOS DERECHOS HUMANOS EN AMÉRICA LATINA: ESTADO DE SITUACIÓN 2007-2021.

This article, based on an examination of the academic production on the issue between 2007 and 2021, identifies the coincidences, limitations, and challenges of addressing the human rights of intersexuality in Latin America. Intersexuality questions essentialisms and perspectives on sex and gender, and the limits of what is defined as "human," which poses a challenge for states and human rights organizations. It concludes with the current problems of rights, related to the lack of public policies, the absence of protection mechanisms and the need to include the psychosocial approach to address rights violations and comprehensive redress.
