Turismo e segregação socioespacial: o caso de Porto Seguro-Bahia.

The city is produced by everyone, however, it is not consumed equally. Based on this premise, this article sought to discuss the urban space of the city of Porto Seguro-Bahia and the role of tourism in the socio-spatial segregation very present in this territory. To achieve the proposed objective, a bibliographic review was carried out on the following themes: urban space, socio-spatial segregation, tourism and urbanization in Porto Seguro. Aiming to understand from what moment the city starts to be organized in tourist and non-tourist spaces, and what factors influenced the fragmentation of this space. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
