Revisiting teacher quality gaps: Geographic disparities in access to highly effective teachers across Tennessee (New York University Working Paper). But more strategic investment in educator compensation may have better long-term benefits for compensating or recruiting more effective teachers or addressing teacher shortages in certain schools or subject matters (Pham et al., [17]).
