The aquatic vegetation (macrophyte) of the Aghstev river basin is very poor. 29 species of aquatic plants belonging to 19 families were found here, of which 5 species are hydrophytes, 9 – helophytes, 10 – hygrohelophytes, and 5 – hygrophytes. The distribution of macrophytes is limited by waterfalls, chutes and floods, typical of mountain rivers.
