Abstract

The absence of clefting in some tumour areas appears to be the common, but nonsignificant RCM feature for TB recognition. Although RCM appears to be useful in differential diagnosis of BCC and TB, the final diagnosis is made after histopathological evaluation, which is recommended for all lesions of that kind. Trichoblastoma (TB) is a benign adnexal tumour that is difficult to differentiate from basal cell carcinoma (BCC). [Extracted from the article]
