Abstract

The experiment was to study the effect of rapeseed meal fermented by Aspergillus niger on growth performance, meat quality and serum biochemical indexes of finishing pigs. A total of 72 'Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire' finishing pigs with an average weight of 52 kg were randomly divided into four groups, with three replicates in each group, and six pigs in each replicate. The pigs in control group were fed with corn soybean meal based diet. Group 1, group 2 and group 3 used 6%, 8% and 10% fermented rapeseed meal to replace soybean meal in basic diet. The test period was 30 d. The results showed that compared with control group, the average daily feed intake of pigs in three test groups was significantly increased (P<0.05). Compared with control group, the average daily weight gain of group 2 was significantly increased (P<0.05), and the feed to gain ratio was significantly decreased (P<0.05). The hydraulic capacit of group 3 were significantly higher than those of other groups (P<0.05). The backfat thickness of group 1 was significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.05). The crude fat content of group 3 was significantly higher than that of other groups (P<0.05), and the water content of group 2 was significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05). Compared with control group, the content of BUN in pig serum of each test group was significantly reduced (P<0.05). The content of TP in serum of finishing pigs in group 3 was significantly higher than that of other groups, and the content of ALB in serum of group 2 and group 3 was significantly higher than that of group 1 and control group (P<0.05). The study indicates that fermented rapeseed meal can improve the quality of pork, significantly improve the growth performance of finishing pigs and the absorption and utilization of protein, and 8% replacement ratio is better.
