Thymoquinone as a causative allergen in Nigella sativa oil contact dermatitis with cross-reactivity to tert-butylhydroquinone. Allergic contact dermatitis from Nigella Sativa Seed Oil (NSO) may present in different patterns such as severe polymorphic lesions mimicking acute bullous drug reactions.[[1], [3]] However, proving its use and its responsibility may be difficult.
