Abstract
- The article discusses burden on mental health in South Africa due to hijacking reported by Cassey Chambers, operations director at the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG). Topics discussed include chances of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) suffered by South Africans due to road crashes and crimes, case of Anand Panther, victim of blue-light gang, of the hijacking, and impact of hijacking on traumatised victims' struggle to cope after the ordeal.
