Treatment of persistent methicillin‐susceptible Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia and presumed osteomyelitis with oxacillin and ertapenem in a premature neonate.

Neonatal sepsis remains a high cause of morbidity and mortality in preterm neonates. Methicillin‐susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) can cause persistent bloodstream infections and invasive disease in neonates.
