In this scenario, it is essential to understand the role played by the punitive arsenal through different criminal offences in the context of intervention plans; in this sense, this paper analyses the crime of embezzlement at a particularly propitious moment in view of the current reform to examine the proposed changes in its adaptation to the new needs and current criminological reality.
