Os Direitos da Pessoa Idosa no Brasil a Partir da Constituição Federal de 1988.

This paper proposes to present a historical review of the rights of the elderly population in Brazil, having as a legal framework the promulgation of the Federal Constitution of 1988. The two main instruments aimed at this segment serve as a basis for the analysis, namely: Law n° 8.842/94, known as the National Policy for the Elderly and Law No. 10,741/2003, Statute of the Elderly. Qualitative research, it concludes that, although there have been significant advances in the field of law, there is still an arduous path to make them effective. He outlined notes on the difficulties of accessing income both for retirement and for the Continuous Cash Benefit. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
