Experimental Research on the Seismic Characteristics of a Precast Frame Structure with a Viscous Damper.

Precast structures have become increasingly popular in recent years. However, the low seismic capacity of prefabricated structures is still a fraught issue in high seismic intensity regions. This paper aims to improve the structural seismic capacity of a precast concrete frame by employing a viscous damper. Two precast concrete frame specimens, with and without viscous dampers (PCFV and PCF), were produced and subjected to dynamic reversed cyclic loading tests.
