DEL CRIMEN PASIONAL A LA TESIS DEL HOMBRE GOLPEADOR: Los feminicidios de Briant (1984) y Muñiz (1988) en la prensa argentina.

This paper analyzes the coverage of the femicides of Aurelia Briant (1984) and Alicia Muñiz (1988) in the Argentine newspapers La Nación and Diario Popular. It is a research with a qualitative approach that articulates categories of socio-semiotic, critical discourse analysis and enunciation theory. The results indicate that in one of the crimes the predominant interpretive key was that of a crime of passion, while the other constituted a condition of possibility to make visible what is currently called gender violence.
