Abstract

The authors comment on the article "Does Controlled Donation After Circulatory Death Violate the Dead Donor Rule (DDR)?," by Nielsen Busch et al., asserting that the analysis is lacks explanation to address questions about the ethical legitimacy of normothermic regional perfusion with controlled donation after circulatory death (NRP-cDCD) applied to organs outside the abdominal cavity. They contend that the use of NRP-cDCD complicates the analysis.
