Abstract
- Family caregivers play a crucial role in providing care and support for people with mental health conditions, such as schizophrenia. A quantitative design was used to assess caregivers of people with a diagnosis of schizophrenia (PWS) in relation to their stress levels, perceived social support, resilience, and life satisfaction. Standardized instruments to assess the manifestation of the key variables were administered to 75 caregivers identified within a clinical setting in south India using survey methodology. Regression analyses reveal that while resilience mediates the influence of stress on life satisfaction, social support did not moderate the effect of stress on resilience. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
