Abstract

Since public policies fundamentally influence the constitution of the subjects for whom they are produced, this paper seeks to problematize national public health policies that refer to women and their relations with aids and hiv, questioning them as concrete government practices that produce discourses of normatization of behaviors and the production of specific modes of objectivation and subjectivation. for this, it resorts to the discourses documented in the national aids policy and the plan for feminization of the epidemic. it is concluded, from the analyses, that although established in the ambiguous ambit of biopolitics and governmentalization, these documents can be read as places of appearance of other political arrangements related to social movements and their struggles for the right to health and human rights.
