Abstract

From the writing of her thesis dissertation to the present, Edith Stein’s thought has accompanied many scholars, both those who have cited her explicitly and those who have not. In this work, after a brief biographical overview, we will reflect on the relationships that exist between the thought of Edith Stein and other authors such as: Abraham H. Maslow, Carl Rogers and Howard E. Gardner. This paper will identify some theses on the concept of empathy offered by Edith Stein in relation to other twentieth-century authors who followed her. The purpose is to honor the ideas of this great philosopher and to highlight both her perspicacity and farsightedness with respect to psycho-pedagogical studies and the current cultural vision centering the educational process on the topic of Inclusion.
