The years 2015 and 2016 were politically marked by student occupation movements throughout Brazil, which focused on the defense of public education and stood out due to their self-organization. This paper investigates the production processes of power to act and ethical-political health that took place during the 2015-2016 student occupations in São Paulo. Data was collected by means of interviews, focus groups and participant observations with students from four municipalities: São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto, Catanduva and Barretos. The corpus analysis highlights that although the students were subjected to processes of decreased power to act and ethical-political suffering during the occupations, they fought for collective ideals, shared social identities, humor, play activities, among others.
