Abstract

Nowadays, the enjoyment of mobile or computer games is rising rapidly through the rapid development of games. It supports children to be playing games often while at home. Many parents thought that the games their children played were negative things. Therefore, parents forbid to be playing games often. This study aimed to examine the literature related to the positive impacts of games used in science learning. The results showed that the positive impacts of using educational games on science learning could improve individual self-efficacy and the quality of learning in schools. In addition, this study also found that parents need to provide preventive solutions in protecting against unwise smartphone use to reduce the negative impacts of playing games.
