Abstract
- This paper mainly aims to predict socioeconomic indicators of matured and older rural females (MORF) in Kuala Krai, Kelantan from B40 group of household income (B40) category. The respondents involve in three types of value chain activities in fisheries economic sector (FES) - trader, processor, and operator. The data consist of n=223, and 31.39 percent MORF respondents in B40 category. Three significant (p<0.05) predictors were obtained - academic background, types of FES, and marital status. The 'not schooling and primary education', married status, and trader FES predict 6.19-time, 2.96-time, and explain less 98.7 percent likelihood respectively of MORF in B40 category.
