Abstract

corodite(FeAsO4 • 2H2O) precipitation method is used for the non-ferrous metallurgy arseniccontaining wastewater, a study on the effect of ionic strength on the removal efficiency of arsenic from wastewater and crystallization of scorodite, and the reaction mechanism is explained. The experiments have shown that ionic strength only affects the removal efficiency of As, arsenic removal efficiency of - 98% even at higher ionic strength. XRD, SEM, IR and Raman show that ionic strength only decrease the rate of crystallization of scorodite, and does not affect the final crystallization of scorodite. The result show that the scorodite precipitation method has a good arsenic fixation ability for high ionic strength arsenic-containing wastewater. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
