Abstract

The article reports that the Celene Gogerty, a District Judge in Polk County, has denied a request by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds to lift a permanent injunction on a state law that would make abortions illegal after around six weeks of pregnancy. This decision reaffirms the jurisdictional concerns that Gogerty raised at a hearing in Des Moines on October 28th.
