História Ambiental, Ideias de Natureza, Educação Escolar... Considerações Sobre o Piauí.

This essay proposes a reflection on the contribution of environmental history in debates about ideas of nature, choosing the school environment as a place par excellence for the development of autonomous cosmovisions capable of articulating current and urgent demands at a global level with its own repertoire of local knowledge. In the specific case of Piauí, in the example of the implementation of photovoltaic energy on the Floriano campus of the Federal Institute of Piauí, we sought elements that demonstrate the positive return of community involvement in the protagonism of projects connected to the renewable energy generation system, in a pragmatism that directly impacts the life of the community, generating sources of income and knowledge. We are conceptually supported by Pádua (2010), Lopes (2010) and Leff (2005) to develop the reflection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
