Pope Francis’ insistence on the constitution of a “we” that inhabits the common house questions the conditions of possibility of this consideration of a common dwelling and habitat. Living in common invites us to specify both the renewed perception of an experience of “not being detached” from a relational life where all the elements of the created contribute to this network of vital interdependencies. But also to value this envelopment in a world of which we are a stakeholder, charged with a role at the service of all: to become a host in both senses of the word, to be received and to receive.
