The phrase “on care of our common home” is the subtitle of the encyclical Laudato si’. The notion of “care” can be understood as the preservation of the creative capacities found in the various components of creation. The notion of the “common home” is not clearly defined, but can be understood in terms of a salvation promised to all creatures, a salvation that consists in universal communion. This also leads us to take the Earth seriously and to ensure that the diversity of its components contributes to the construction of the “common home”.
