Abstract

The research was carried out as part of a project aimed at changing the method of manufacturing a hybrid large-size composite product used in road transport. The conducted experiment concerned the use of numerical methods to analyze strains and deformations of polyester-glass composites using mats with thermoplastic fibers. The Atos Triple Scan 3D scanning system by GOM was used in the study. The research determined the influence of the parameters of the composite product manufacturing process on strains and deformations. The results of the research allowed the selection of favorable parameters of the manufacturing process while maintaining favorable geometrical and economic factors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
