This paper summarizes the research progress of micro plastic removal technology, including physical method, chemical method, biological method, etc., and compares the removal efficiency, advantages and disadvantages of different treatment methods. The methods with better removal effect include biodegradation method, filtration method and photocatalytic method, and the treatment efficiency of other methods still needs to be improved. At the same time, it prospects the development trend of micro plastic removal technology in the future, such as the research on micro plastic targeting technology, modification of micro plastics and more detailed and unified chemical and physical characterization of plastics.
