Abstract

The discovery of marginal ore body in Fankou lead-zinc mine makes the current filling system of the mine unable to meet the increasing demand of backfilling. According to the position of the newly proved ore bodies and the filling stations in Fankou, this paper puts forward two kinds of pipeline layout schemes: the construction of new filling boreholes and the use of original filling boreholes. The maximum allowable stowing gradients of graded tailings and fine tailings transported by ground filling pipeline are calculated to be 8. 56 and 3. 47. According to the theoretical calculation and numerical simulation results, it is considered that when the graded tailings and fine tailings are transported at the surface stage of filling pipeline, both schemes need to be transported by pumping. In the underground stage of filling pipeline, the graded tailings filling slurry can be transported by flow. When the filling times line drops below 3, fine tailings can be transported by flow. The calculation results of pumping pressure show that the filling system needs to be equipped with a filling pump with the maximum pumping capacity of not less than 12 MPa to meet the demand of filling slurry transportation in the mine.
