Currently several companies are increasingly aware of the importance of having a balance between the economic development of the company and the environmental issues involved with the activity performed. Pecém Complex seeks to increase the intermodal transport of cargo in the region through the provision of infrastructure and partnerships that result in socioeconomic development for the population of the state of Ceará, in compliance with current environmental legislation and pollution prevention, and also to promoting the continuous improvement of environmental quality in Pecém Port Terminal. For this, procedures based on various monitorings, plans and environmental programs are adopted, thus establishing the good environmental quality of the area of influence of the port throughout its operation phase.
