Abstract

Bono's memoir can be read as a spiritual adventure story, a Pilgrim's Progress with superyachts and supermodels (or as Bono jokes, "The pilgrim's lack of progress"). One day I was riding around Dublin with Bono in a tiny Fiat, and the thought occurred to me: Bono's a little like that. Features Bono was 14 when his grandfather died.
