Abstract

Introduction: Disability has always been the subject of many stereotyped views and prejudiced that have been modified over time. These attitudes can be learned in childhood and later to be developed positively or negatively. Methodology: Present descriptive cross-sectional study tried to observe and analyze the attitudes of 460 people surveyed towards people with disabilities, considering different variables, areas and contexts, applying Escala de actitudes hacia las personas con discapacidad. Forma G, of Verdugo, Arias y Jenaro. Results and conclusions: The results showed positive attitudes that are influenced by some variables such as contact with people with disabilities, sex, academic and work area and type of disability they know. Originality: It is intended to open a space for debate to contemplate a possible future remodeling of the scale applied to update its terms and items and reduce the ambiguity of the instrument.
