Abstract
- The author remembers Mississippi Delta blues guitarist and singer John Smith Hurt and his possession of a torn piece of wallpaper with a campaign poster from Franklin D. Roosevelt's last U.S. presidential run glued to it once belonged to Hurt. Topics include the author's account of how he possessed the object in 1976 and why he gave it away, his description of Delta blues music, and the style and repertoire of Hurt's music.
