Abstract
- Two copper metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have been synthesized using l -serine Schiff base (2-(2-oxhydryl-phenylmethanimine)-3-oxhydryl-propionic acid = H 2 pmpa) and L-tyrosine (L-Tyr). The new MOF {[Cu(pmpa)(H 2 O)]·H 2 O} n (1) and another MOF {Cu(L-Tyr) 2 } n (2) were prepared by a one-pot method, and indicate square-based pyramidal geometry. Both MOFs display outstanding catalytic effects for the thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate (AP) and hexogen (RDX). [Display omitted] • Two copper MOFs were synthesized by green and simple one-pot method. • Both MOFs have excellent catalytic effect for thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate (AP) and hexogen (RDX). • The two amino acid MOFs provide new directions for stable, energy-free combustion catalysts.
