Abstract

We report the synthesis and structures of two base‐free alkoxide dysprosium(III) complexes of formula [Dy(L1)2(μ‐η6:η1‐Ph)2BPh2] ⋅ CH2Cl2 (1) and [Dy(L2)2(μ‐η6:η1‐Ph)2BPh2] ⋅ 3(C7H8) (2) featuring a tetraphenylborate binding (L1=2,6‐dibenzhydryl‐4‐(tert‐butyl)phenolate, L2=tri(naphtalen‐1‐yl)methanolate). Investigations of the magnetic properties for 1 in line with theoretical calculations reveal the occurrence of a field‐induced slow relaxation of the magnetization. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
