Clusters - An opportunity for innovative development and competitiveness of industrial enterprises in Bulgaria.

In the last two decades, Europe has been seeking purposefully to improve the business environment in which business organizations operate. One of these opportunities is to promote the creation and development of clusters across the European Union. For Bulgarian enterprises, clusters are an innovative approach for creating and sustaining competitive advantages that lead to high long-term economic results. In this publication, a theoretical analysis of the economic literature dedicated to clusters has been carried out. For the purposes of the study, some competitiveness indicators of industrial enterprises participating in clusters on the territory of Bulgaria have been studied and analyzed. On this basis, the current state of the industrial enterprises is summarized and measures are proposed to increase their competitiveness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
