Abstract

This study was carried to determine harmful and predatory mite species of Acarina on almond trees in district of Suleymanpaşa (Tekirdag). Samples were collected between May-October, in 2015 and 2016. It was determined that 59.66% of samples were found as infected by mites. The results of this study, 4 families of Acarina and 9 species belonging to these families were determined. A total of 4 species (Typhlodromus athiasae, Kampimodromus aberrans Oudemans, Phytoseius finitimus Ribaga and, Euseius finlandicus Oudemans) belonging to the family Phytoseiidae from these two families, and 1 species of Tydeiidae (Tydeus californicus Banks) were identified. It was found 4 phytophagous species of Tetranychidae which are Amphitetranychus viennensis Zacher, Panonychus ulmi Koch, Tetranychus urticae Koch and Bryobia rubrioculus (Scheuten). As a result of the survey, Tetranychus urticae was found the most common harmful mite species with 405 individuals, while only 16 individuals of Panonychus ulmi. Kampimodromus aberrans (204 individuals) and Euseius finlandicus (181 individuals) were the the most dominant species among the predatory mites. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
